Palace receive Davis injury boost
The big centre-half needed lengthy treatment before being stretchered off after falling heavily on his neck in an aerial challenge during Saturday's 2-2 FA Cup draw at Wolves.[LNB]Palace assistant boss Mick Jones said: "He is a lot better than anticipated. Obviously he took a nasty knock and when you hit the deck like he did there is a lot of weight that goes down on the shoulder and neck.[LNB]"He suffered an injury a bit like whiplash, and he is going to see a specialist in London."[LNB]Palace's cup replay at Selhurst Park, on Tuesday, February 2, will be televised live on ITV4.[LNB]The club have also confirmed the departure of winger Ryan Smith after his short-term contract ran out.[LNB][LNB]
