Palace persistence was key for Vaughan

James Vaughan admits the influence of manager Dougie Freedman, and the persistence of the fans, persuaded him to rejoin Crystal Palace. The 22-year-old Everton forward, who scored five goals in 14 appearances for the Eagles earlier this term, is back on loan at Selhurst Park until the end of the season. "I`m really glad the move has been completed," he said. "Dougie Freedman was a big part in me coming back, he worked really closely with me the last time I was here and the Palace fans have always been good to me and while I have been away a lot were trying to contact me, which was great. "I will hopefully start training with the lads and playing soon, I am really looking forward to it."
