Millwall vs Crystal Palace: Championship Match Preview

30 April 2013 14:11

There is another important game today besides the second leg semi-final of the Champions League.

That match is between Playoff hopefuls Crystal Place and fighting for their Championship lives, Millwall.

With a win today Crystal Place can assure themselves a playoff spot.

A draw or loss continues to give life to Nottingham Forest playoff hopes. Ian Holloway must find a way to motivate his side or their season could come to a crashing end.

Millwall on the other hand are fighting to stay up and out of the relegation battle. With a win today, Millwall will secure life in the Championship for another year. Neither team has been playing well in recent weeks. Palace has not won a game in their last eight while Millwall has only won once in their last five outings which sees them in the lowest position since October.

Millwall’s Captain Danny Shittu and defender Shane Lowry are back from serving out there bans so this should give them a boost.

Palace on the other hand will be without Jonathan Parr who is out for the rest of the season with ankle ligament damage.

This should be an interesting match by two teams that both need a win to secure their perspective places in the Championship and for one, a possible trip to the Premier League.

Game kicks off at 19:45 BST at The Den.
