Late tests for Palace pair

Crystal Palace will check on Darren Ambrose and Adam Barrett ahead of the home game against Coventry. Midfielder Ambrose was on the scoresheet in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Watford but took a knock to the same knee which kept him sidelined for more than two months earlier this season. Boss George Burley says the injury is not serious but Ambrose will be given a late fitness test along with defender Barrett, who came off with slight concussion against the Hornets. Anthony Gardner is still struggling with a groin problem so if Barrett misses out Claude Davis, who has been shown three red cards in his last 13 appearances, could return to the starting line-up. Sean Scannell and Lee Hills remain sidelined with knee injuries.
