Jones salutes Warnock resilience

Warnock was desperate to put one over on the side he managed for almost eight years but a virus hit the Eagles squad and they put in a below-par performance at Bramall Lane.

But Palace host another Yorkshire side, Barnsley, at the weekend and Warnock was quickly back on form and attempting to plot their downfall.

"Neil badly wanted to go back and win at his old club and it cut deep at the weekend," said Jones.

"But the manager is so resilient, he has got skin as thick as a rhino, and come Monday morning he was buzzing again and was back on form in training on Tuesday."
