Ertl down after Fonte departs Eagles
Fonte joined the Saints on a three-and-a-half-year deal last week so Ertl, who has established himself in a holding midfield role this season, could be asked to fill in at the back.[LNB]"I am enjoying it in midfield, but I will play where the manager asks me to", Ertl told the Croydon Advertiser.[LNB]"I was very sad to see Jose go as he was a good friend and a really good player for the team. But that is what he has decided to do and we must respect that. In football people come and go all the time and we just have to get on with it as best we can."[LNB]The Austrian also believes the Eagles can push for promotion this season despite any uncertainty off the pitch surrounding the club's finances.[LNB]He added: "We are aware of what is going on, but as a group we are very focused and are only concentrating on what is happening on the pitch. It is a tough situation but I still feel very confident that we can get into the play-offs at the end of the season."[LNB][LNB]
