Warnock has been looking for extra firepower with Shefki Kuqi and Alan Lee shouldering the burden up front, but has so far been frustrated in his attempts to add to his squad.

"We need one or two players and we have found it very difficult," he said.

"We haven't got a goalscorer so we are looking all the time, but it is difficult because all the other teams have got a lot more money and it's no good signing somebody that's not any better than what we've got."
