The 23-year-old suffered a cruciate knee injury at the end of last season but proved he is back to full fitness by coming off the bench to score his first goal for the club in this month's FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday.[LNB]When asked if the goal would help him gain a starting role, he told the club's official website: "I think that's one thing that the club and staff around the place have said - I put in the performances but I'm just missing the goals from my overall performances.[LNB]"It's good to get one and hopefully from there I can build up a tally."[LNB]Andrew believes that the departures of Freddie Sears and Stern John may give him more of a chance to prove his worth, although he still welcomes any competition for places at Selhurst Park.[LNB]He added: "It will give me more of an opportunity, but it's always good to have competition around the place to keep you on your toes. It's good to have a lot of back-up and a strong squad. The squad we've got at the moment is still strong enough, so we'll cope without them."[LNB][LNB]
