Davis targets top-flight push

The 29-year-old defender was reunited with manager Neil Warnock, whom he played under at Sheffield United, when he arrived at Selhurst Park on an initial month-long deal on Monday.[LNB]Davis has been deemed surplus to requirements at Derby since Nigel Clough became manager at Pride Park at the start of 2009, having not played since the Rams' 2-0 home defeat by Ipswich on November 22.[LNB]Davis said: "My main objective is to get back playing again but that is going to be hard as there are a lot of talented players here.[LNB]"Before I start thinking of being in the starting XI I have got to show my best in training and demonstrate why I should be picked.[LNB]"I want to help the club get back into the promotion race and hopefully we will get promoted to the Premier League."[LNB][LNB]
