The 26-year-old has struggled with a succession of injuries since arriving at Selhurst Park from Birmingham last January, but he expects to be fully fit and raring to go next term. "Next season will be a big one for me because I will get a 100% pre-season and start from the beginning on a level playing field with everyone - I'm confident I can get into double figures," he told the South London Press. "At the start of January I wasn't totally fit. I needed matches so that I could become a box-to-box player again and I did get three goals in a 10-game spell. "I had 18 months at Colchester where I scored 28 goals from central midfield - 12 in half a season and then 16 the one after that as we won promotion from League One. After that I moved to Birmingham and scored four in 11 starts. "I've always had a ratio of a goal about every three matches - that's probably why I've got such good moves for myself."
