Jedinak boost for Eagles

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway will be boosted by the return of midfielder Mile Jedinak for the clash with fellow play-off chasers Middlesbrough.

The 28-year-old has been sidelined since he suffered a broken nose and cheekbone during his side's 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield on January 30, but is set to return this weekend wearing a protective face mask.

Defender Joel Ward could recover from a groin problem in time to be included in Holloway's squad but this game looks to have come too soon for Brazilian midfielder Andre Moritz, who is still recovering from an ankle injury.

Alex Nimely remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Paddy McCarthy (groin) and Owen Garvan (knee) will also miss out as they continue their recovery.

Middlesbrough will be without striker Curtis Main for the trip.

Main, who has scored in each of the last two games including the winner against Leeds on Tuesday evening, is suspended after being sent off later in the same match.

Manager Tony Mowbray also has doubts over defender Jonathan Woodgate and forward Scott McDonald.

The former England international limped out of the Leeds game with a calf problem, while his Australian counterpart has missed the last four fixtures with a back injury, and both will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Full-back Justin Hoyte is continuing his recovery from a hip problem which is expected to sideline him until next month, while midfielder Julio Arca is working his way back from toe surgery.
