Late test for Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye

Yohan Cabaye faces a late fitness test ahead of Crystal Palace's home clash with Bournemouth.

The Eagles ended Saturday's 1-0 FA Cup win against Stoke with serious concerns surrounding the French midfielder after he suffered an ankle injury.

But while a knock has ruled Joe Ledley out, there is greater optimism surrounding Cabaye who faces a late test on the same day Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to make his debut.

"Yohan is going to need a fitness test (on Tuesday)," Pardew said. "Joe Ledley is out, it doesn't look too bad, but he'll just miss (the Bournemouth) game.

"Adebayor will be in the squad, and I'm sure our fans are looking forward to seeing him, and the rest remains the same.

"We don't think it's as bad as first feared (for Cabaye), but it was a tough tackle. We're just hoping that it's a swelling. Sometimes your ankles can swell quick and go down quick, it depends how it goes down.

"Dwight (Gayle) hasn't trained. He trained on Friday, he wasn't involved Saturday, we had fitness tests then he didn't feel right. Sunday he didn't train, he hasn't trained (on Monday).

"He just feels uncomfortable (with his hamstring) but the scans are showing clear."

Meanwhile, Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick says he is "absolutely buzzing to be back" after he made his first competitive start in more than three months on Saturday.

Elphick played 75 minutes in the Cherries' Emirates FA Cup victory over Portsmouth after being sidelined since September with an ankle injury.

Bournemouth return to Barclays Premier League action on Tuesday night and Elphick hopes it will not be long before he is back in league action as the Cherries bid to retain their top-flight status.

"For me personally, I'm absolutely buzzing to be back," Elphick said. "Ideally I would've liked one more game before such a competitive game but it was great, a proper workout against a very good side.

"I felt good fitness-wise, my legs were cramping up a little bit which is why I went off. It was the right precaution to come off and I'm happy with what I've done.

"I'm fully training now and played in a real competitive game today, another step to getting Premier League ready."

Bournemouth head to Selhurst Park with four points from their last two matches after they followed a 3-0 win against Norwich with a 1-1 draw at Sunderland.

And the Cherries will be buoyed by their comeback victory at Portsmouth in which Josh King and Marc Pugh scored in 12 second-half minutes.

Manager Eddie Howe is set to return to his established side after making 10 changes for their FA Cup victory.
