Council vow to keep Palace grounded

Palace are presently in the hands of administrator Brendan Guilfoyle, who is actively seeking a buyer.[LNB]The Championship club could be forced to sell their prized assets should they continue to struggle financially but councillor Jason Perry is adamant Selhurst Park will not be used for anything other than sporting purposes.[LNB]In a statement, Perry said: "Because Crystal Palace is so important to our borough, the council wants to do everything in its powers to ensure the future of the club at Selhurst Park.[LNB]"The council wants to make it clear to anyone considering a financial stake in the club that the future of the ground in non-negotiable.[LNB]"As far as the council is concerned, Selhurst Park is a sports venue and it will remain that way."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
