Burley wants character

Crystal Palace manager George Burley urged his new-look side to show more character after they crashed to a 3-0 defeat at Reading. Shane Long and Ian Harte, on his debut, both scored from the penalty spot and Jimmy Kebe put the icing on the cake with a late third goal to move Reading up to seventh in the npower Championship. Burley said "The final score may not have reflected the game but it's the reality. It's there in black and white. "In the first 25 minutes we had the best chances but after we went a goal down we never really dominated. "We have got a lot of players coming together but we must show more character."
