Darren Ambrose admits the chance to play for George Burley again was a major factor in his decision to stay at Crystal Palace. The midfielder was a summer transfer target of ex-Eagles manager Neil Warnock at QPR but has ended speculation about his future by signing a new three-year deal at Selhurst Park. Ambrose was given his Ipswich debut as a youngster by Burley and is looking forward to working with the Scot once more. "It was great to see George Burley appointed as he was someone who gave me my chance as a kid and he knows how to get the best out of me," said Ambrose, who hit 20 goals to help Palace beat the drop last season. "It's great that I am going to be working with him again at such a big club. "We have such a great fan base and I just wanted to repay them for all their great support last season by signing a new contract."
