Crystal Palace boss George Burley will not let Nathaniel Clyne leave Selhurst Park for at least another year.
The youngster has been linked with a move to Premier League side Birmingham but Burley believes the England Under-19 international needs another season under his belt before he can move up to the next level.
Burley told the South London Press: "There is no doubt that when any Premier League club is interested it's a wee bit distracting for the boy but he's focused that he'll be with us next season.
"I've had a chat with the boy and he knows where I'm coming from. He needs at least another season - and hopefully longer - before he even thinks about going to a Premier League team. We want to keep him."
