The former Luton frontman needed reconstructive surgery on his knee over the summer after suffering a cruciate injury while on loan at Brighton last season.[LNB]Andrew is in the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park and, after coming through a practice match earlier this week, is looking forward to pushing for a first-team return and proving his worth to manager Neil Warnock.[LNB]"That was my first time with the gaffer and the first-team lads and it went fine. I was a bit nervous at first, coming back from such a long-term injury, but it was brilliant," he said.[LNB]"I'm about a month or two ahead of schedule. You have to be careful but I'm happy to be back.[LNB]"Going into the last year of my contract and knowing I've not got long left to prove a point to get a new contract has been mentally very tough. I've still got a point to prove at this club and hopefully over the remaining months of the season I can do that."[LNB][LNB]
