Tomlinson pens new deal

Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson has signed a one-year contract extension which will keep him at Gresty Road until June 2008.

The 20-year-old has progressed to the fringes of the first-team squad after coming through the club's Academy.

He made his debut when coming on as a substitute in the 3-1 victory at Oldham Athletic in January 2003 and has gone on to play four more games for Dario Gradi's side.

His first start for the club came in this season's FA Cup third round defeat at Preston North End.
