Crewe have been handed a triple injury boost ahead of Saturday's clash with Brentford.

Key trio David Vaughan, Billy Jones and Luke Varney could all be in line to return after making their comebacks from injury.

"We have had more than our fair share of injuries but hopefully that will ease a little this week," Alex boss Dario Gradi told the club's official website.

"I'm hoping to have Varney, Vaughan and Billy back training and they should be available again for the weekend.

"Hopefully, things are improving for us a bit because we have suffered a bit of a tough time of late with the number of injuries we have had, but it has given others a chance and that is what they are here for."
