Thordarson eyeing Dane defender

The player currently plays in the top flight in his homeland and Thordarson is hopeful of seeing him in action before the end of the Danish season in June. "I have been in touch with a defender in Denmark and I would be keen on him because the reports have been good. I would like to see him myself though before making the final decision," Thordarson told Crewe's official website. "He plays in the Danish First Division and with the dialogue we have had, he has suggested that he might come here. "He isn't so keen on the division we are going to be playing in though, but he knows that if he can come over here and play well then he will be in the shop window and could move on to bigger and better things." Signing a centre-half is Thordarson's top priority this summer. With captain Julien Baudet set to seal a move to America's MLS, loan players Marlon Broomes and Dennis Lawrence returning to their parent clubs and George Abbey and Chris McCready being released, Danny O'Donnell is currently the only recognised centre-back at Gresty Road.
