Thordarson close to new signings

Crewe Alexandra boss Gudjon Thordarson is closing in on a couple of transfer targets, as he rebuilds his squad. He has allowed 10 players to leave following their relegation to League Two and needs new centre-backs. He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I have been in touch with a defender in Denmark and I am still hopeful that Dennis Lawrence will return to the club.
