Midfielder Gary Roberts has committed his future to Crewe Alexandra by putting pen to paper on a new three-year contract.
Roberts' existing deal was scheduled to expire at the end of this season, but manager Dario Gradi moved to extend the 19-year-old's stay at Gresty Road after he impressed during the opening weeks of the campaign.
The England Under-19 international made his Crewe debut in December 2003 and has now played 46 Football League games, having established himself as a first-team regular last season.
Roberts is the third of Crewe's young stars to sign a contract extension since the start of the season, following the examples of Michael O'Connor and Luke Varney.
