Phillips close for Crewe

Crewe goalkeeper Steve Phillips is closing in on a return from injury.The 32-year-old underwent double shoulder surgery at the end of last season.He then suffered a hip problem on his return to full training and has yet to make a first-team appearance this campaign."Steve is making good progress in his recovery," Alex boss Dario Gradi told the club`s official website."He is working hard and we are hoping he will make some really positive inroads next week."
