Otsemobor injury rocks Alex

Crewe Alexandra defender Jon Otsemobor is unlikely to return to action until the end of March after suffering a torn hamstring in the recent victory against Doncaster Rovers.

A scan has shown that the 23-year-old former Liverpool right-back sustained a grade one tear to the muscle, which will sideline him for at least six weeks.

"It's a shame for him and for us," Alex boss Dario Gradi told the club's official website.

"Therefore, it's just as well we've been able to sign Danny (Woodards).

"He's come in and done very well for us. As normally happens, one player's misfortune has been another player's opportunity."
