New deal for Alex starlet

Crewe Alexandra have handed a new three-year contract to promising youngster Byron Moore.

The 18-year-old forward has broken into the first team this season after making the transition from the club's academy set-up.

Moore has made four appearances for the Railwaymen despite suffering a knee injury that sidelined him for four weeks.

"I think (director of football) Dario Gradi and (first-team coach) Steve Holland have put their faith in me and I'm looking forward to thanking them in my game," he told the club's official website.
