Jones still up for the fight
02 Dec 2009 - 14:27:40
Crewe Alexandra defender Billy Jones has expressed his desire to still give 100 per cent to the club, despite choosing to leave Gresty Road at the end of the current campaign.
The 26-year-old left-back has decided he wants a new challenge at this stage in his career and discussed the plan with former boss Gudjon Thordarson in the summer.
With Dario Gradi now back at the helm, the situation remains the same, but Jones insists he will continue to perform for the Gresty Road-based outfit, as and when called upon.
Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "I just want a fresh challenge and told Gudjon as much in the summer. I told him that this would be my last season at Crewe after three years at the club.
"I will continue to give my all for the club and want to play as much as I can between now and when I leave."
