Holland won't blame exits

Crewe Alexandra first-team coach Steve Holland is refusing to blame the loss of a number of key players for the club's disappointing start to the season.
The Railwaymen sold striker Luke Varney and midfielder David Vaughan during the summer, while promising striker Nicky Maynard suffered a broken leg just 20 minutes into the first match of the new campaign.
But, despite seeing his side languishing in the bottom half of the League One table and beaten 4-1 at Bournemouth last weekend, Holland insists that they can't blame their start on the absence of key players.
"I am not going to harp on about what we are missing or the bad luck we have had.
"I appreciate that some supporters understand that it was been difficult losing three influential players under different circumstances," he told the club's official website.
"You just have to get on with it and do your best to find a solution.
"I still think that the nucleus of our team is decent. Of course we would like to add one or two and we know we have to be better than we were on Saturday all over the pitch."
