Crewe Alexandra boss Dario Gradi blasted strike duo Michael Higdon and Rodney Jack after his side struggled to beat rock-bottom Rotherham United 1-0 at Gresty Road.
The duo are both out of contract at the end of the season and Gradi has hinted that they may be part of a major cull in the summer.
"We've already talked about who we should or shouldn't give contracts to," the veteran boss told The Sentinel.
"But in the next game it changes around and you think you should be giving so and so one and not the other guy.
"Mike Higdon could do more than he did and he was the first to admit it. The front two were atrocious - they were like statues."
