Gradi set to stick with XI
Published : 07 Mar 2011 16:00:04

Crewe boss Dario Gradi is likely to name an unchanged side for the short trip to Macclesfield.Alex halted a six-match winless streak and a run of three straight defeats with a 4-1 home victory over Burton on Saturday.Short of defensive cover and with Matt Tootle ill, Gradi was forced into shuffling his defence against the Brewers with Patrick Ada moving to right-back. That opened the door for Adam Dugdale to make his seventh start of the season at centre-back.It turned out to be one of Crewe`s more solid defensive performances with both Ada and Dugdale putting in good shifts. With Tootle still out and usual right-back cover Mat Mitchel-King nursing a back injury, it means Gradi has no room to manoeuvre. However, the Alex boss is trying to bring in a young defender on loan from Manchester City.
