Crewe boss Dario Gradi still hasn't given up hope of keeping wantaway defender Billy Jones.
The 19-year-old has yet to sign a new deal at the Alexandra Stadium, and despite admitting that the England Under-20 international could be sold in the January transfer window, Gradi would still like to keep hold of the versatile defensive player.
"We are still hoping that Billy will change his mind and believe that it is in his best interest to stay with us," Gradi told the club's official website.
"We are disappointed with the decision he seems to have made, but there is nothing more we can really do.
"We have made him a very good offer, and as far as I know he has not replied to that.
"We have received no bids for him. I don't know what will happen but it will be interesting to see when the transfer window reopens."
