Gradi impressed by Walton displays

Signed on a season-long loan from Plymouth by previous Alex boss Gudjon Thordarson, Gradi told the former Leeds man to improve his fitness if he wanted to feature under him. With the recent injuries to first choice central midfield pair Steven Schumacher and James Bailey, Walton and Ashley Westwood have formed a good partnership over the last few weeks. Gradi told the club's official website: "Simon was able to conduct the play on Saturday and he is the one I can talk to and get instructions onto the pitch. "I am becoming more and more impressed with the ladm and his application and attitude have been fantastic since I took over again."
