Gradi expects quiet window

Crewe Alexandra boss Dario Gradi doesn't expect any player movement in or out of Gresty Road before the transfer window closes.

The Railwaymen placed contract rebels Billy Jones and Jon Otsemobor on the transfer list earlier in the season, but Gradi expects both to still be at the club until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the veteran boss doesn't envisage making any moves to bring fresh faces into the club before the window closes on January 31.

"If something was going to happen with one of our transfer-listed players, then I'm pretty certain I would have heard something by now," he told the club's official website.

"If a bid did come in for Jon or Billy then we would discuss it at board level. I wouldn't have the deciding vote on that, but if it came down to the money or the football, then I would go for the football.

"We are also not desperate to bring someone else in for the sake of it."
