Gradi blast for contract rebel
27 Nov 2006 - 11:42:33
Angry Crewe boss Dario Gradi has slammed wantaway defender Jon Otsemobor for his conduct over a new contract.
The 23-year-old former Liverpool trainee has refused to discuss extending his deal at Gresty Road and, alongside fellow contract rebel Billy Jones, could walk away from the League One club for nothing in the summer.
"Jon has done the dirty on us and we're very disappointed about it," fumed Gradi.
"Maybe I expect more of what I call the journeymen players that haven't been here from the start of their careers.
"Jon has every reason to be grateful as he was rescued (from previous club Rotherham) but he won't be rescued again.
"We'll need to find a left-back and a right-back by the end of the season.
"Having said that, if we got a good offer for Otsemobor we might keep Billy to the end of the season and take it to a tribunal.
"But they're now just commodities to us and we will try to get as much money for them as we can."
