Crewe's on-loan goalkeeper John Ruddy is pushing for an extension to his temporary deal, which is due to expire at the end of this month.

The Everton shot-stopper has made just one appearance for the club so far but insists he would be happy to stay with Alex until the end of the season.

"Hopefully the manager here can have a word with David Moyes and they can do the right thing for me," Ruddy told BBC Radio Stoke.

"I think we're due to play five games in that time with rearrangements, so there's still some time left."
