Crewe Alexandra striker Anthony Elding admits he has a point to prove in Saturday's League One meeting with Leeds United.
Elding left Elland Road after just six months when he was deemed surplus to requirements by new Leeds manager Gary McAllister.
The 26-year-old, who joined Alex in July, was brought to the West Yorkshire club from Stockport County by former manager Dennis Wise.
"I didn't think I got much of a chance with the new manager coming in, but that is football and you have to move on," he told the club's official website.
"I'm looking forward to the game and I'd be lying if I didn't look for the Leeds fixture first.
"I want to be walking off the pitch at a quarter-to-five with three points in the bag for Crewe.
"If I score then that would be fantastic, but it isn't about Anthony Elding going back to Leeds. It's about Crewe getting a result."
