Davis to become Crewe number two

Steve Davis will be appointed by Crewe Alexandra as their new assistant manager, reports BBC Radio Stoke. The 43-year-old will leave his position as manager of Unibond Premier League side Nantwich Town to become Gudjon Thordarson's number two. The Icelander has shuffled his backroom staff following their relegation to League Two, with former assistant Neil Baker taking on a scouting role.
