Davis sets sights on management

New Crewe Alexandra assistant manager Steve Davis says he wants to be a Football League boss in the future. The much-travelled, 43-year-old former Crewe, Burnley and Barnsley stopper has returned to the club where he started his professional career back in 1983. Following three years of success as Nantwich Town boss, he now links up with Gudjon Thordarson at Gresty Road. "It's a chance to learn the ropes under Gudjon," Davis told BBC Stoke.
