Dario disagrees with Rhys red
Boss Dario Gradi felt Rhys Taylor`s red card in the defeat at Aldershot was undeserved. The Alex keeper received his marching orders for handling outside the area in the first minute of time added on.Gradi, who felt his side were below par, said: "I thought the red card was harsh, I don't think he deflected the ball with his hand, I think it came up and hit his hand. But, if you give the referee the chance to make those decisions, it's hard."I don't think the referee saw it, I think the referee reacted to the crowd. He was very late in giving it and it seemed to startle him. Now, he's not going to admit that, and I wouldn't if I was him, but we're not blaming the referee for it."Gradi added: "I thought they controlled the game from straight to finish. We didn't pass the ball anywhere as near as well as Aldershot did, and we're supposed to be the passing team."We didn't get a real good move going in the second half. That link between midfield and upfront was non-existent, so the midfielder players never found their passes and at the back we didn't look comfortable on the ball."
