Crewe switch strike target

Crewe Alexandra claim they have turned their attentions elsewhere after failing with a bid to sign Forest Green striker Stuart Fleetwood.
The Railwaymen saw their lengthy pursuit of the Rovers striker end earlier in the week after Fleetwood rejected the opportunity to move to Gresty Road.
However, Crewe assistant manager Neil Baker claims the club have already got over the disappointment, with fresh reports linking them with a move to re-sign their former striker Steve Jones from Burnley.
He told the club's official website: "We were initially disappointed when we heard Fleetwood had turned our offer down.
"We have had him as a target for a while and have watched him on a number of occasions. When a player like that becomes available you obviously do your best to get them.
"We did our best with Fleetwood. We offered Forest Green probably more than he was worth and made him a good contract offer.
"He thinks he can do better, good luck to the lad and we move on."
