Crewe keen for more loans

Crewe manager Gudjon Thordarson is hoping to bolster his struggling squad with more loan signings. The Icelandic boss has already signed goalkeeper John Ruddy from Everton and Blackpool defender Marlon Broomes since arriving at Gresty Road. But with the Railwaymen still languishing in the League One drop-zone, he is keen to secure further additions. "We will look into doing something now we can do loans again," said assistant manager Neil Baker. "As far as numbers go our squad compares well with most, but that doesn't mean we won't look for reinforcements. "We don't have anyone lined up, but we will scan the reserve games in the next few weeks. "If we can bring someone in who will improve the team then we will try to do so."
