Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Eugen Bopp has become the tenth player to leave Crewe Alexandra since their relegation to League Two was confirmed on Saturday.
Danny Woodards and Julian Baudet have rejected new offers from the club, while Chris McCready, Mark Carrington, Stuart Tomlinson, Josh Thompson and Luke Danville have all been told they can leave Gresty Road.
Nathan Abbey has left by mutual consent, while Colin Daniel has not been offered a new contract.
Boss Gudjon Thordarson said: "We need players who are ready to compete.
"We need people in and around the squad to work and commit themselves and be ready for whatever is thrown at them."
