Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Holland has made the Tranmere Rovers striker Calvin Zola his third summer signing.

The 23-year-old forward moves to Gresty Road on a three-year deal after the two clubs agreed a £200,000 transfer fee.

The former Newcastle United player made 28 first-team appearances for Oldham Athletic during a loan spell at Boundary Park in the 2003-04 campaign.

Zola moved to Tranmere on a permanent basis four years ago and found the net 18 times in 109 appearances for the club.
