Crewe Alexandra have agreed to extend Patrick Boyle's loan stay from
Everton until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old defender, who is out of contract at the Premier League club at the end of the season, has been the Railwaymen since January and has made 12 appearances.
"We have agreed provisionally with Patrick to extend his loan deal," first-team coach Steve Holland told the club's official website.
"Patrick wants to stay here. I know he has enjoyed it here and it has been good for him and for us.
"He is set to discuss his future at Everton with David Moyes and the long-term implications there and until that conversation takes place, then we will have to wait.
"I'm hopeful it will be concluded, but it is not a foregone conclusion."
