Alex linked with Town starlet

Crewe Alexandra have tabled an offer for out of contract Mansfield Town defender Alex John-Baptiste, according to the player's agent.
The 21-year-old is out of contract at Field Mill this summer and his availability has alerted Alex boss Dario Gradi.
"Crewe are talking to Mansfield at the moment but there are also a lot of clubs from the Championship showing an interest in Alex," claimed representative Alex Cowdy.
"He's been offered a three-year contract by Mansfield, which he is considering, but he would obviously find it hard to turn down the chance to play at a higher level."
