Alex in for loan striker

Crewe Alexandra have signed striker Chris Dickson on loan from Charlton Athletic as cover for the injured Nicky Maynard.
Dickson has signed an initial one-month loan deal and will help fill the void created after Maynard suffered a broken leg on the opening day of the new season.
The Alex also hope to land young Tottenham striker Lee Barnard on a similar loan basis next week.
"We have been tracking Chris for a number of weeks and once we knew we were going to be without Nicky for around 12 weeks, we really stepped up our interest," first-team coach Steve Holland told the club's official website.
"There was a bit of competition for him, even from other London clubs, but he was prepared to move up north and that says a lot about him."
