Alex hope to sign Lawrence

Crewe boss Gudjon Thordarson has revealed he is hoping to sign on-loan defender Dennis Lawrence on a permanent basis.

Lawrence is out of contract at parent club Swansea City in the summer.

"We have liked having Dennis here with us and I am sure he has enjoyed himself too," Thordarson told the club's official website.

"He is good in the dressing room and out on the pitch and his future has been spoken about.

"It is something we will consider in the summer when he is out of contract.

"I have discussed it with the board and we will have to wait and see."
