Alex face Jones battle

Crewe face a massive battle to hold on to young forward Billy Jones in the summer following his impressive campaign at Gresty Road.

Premiership duo West Brom and Everton are both thought to be interested in the 19-year-old, while scouts from the Toffees watched Alex's top scorer in action in the recent 1-1 draw with Cardiff.

With Dario Gradi's men already doomed to relegation and facing a season in League One, the Alex boss is expecting several top clubs to try and lure Jones away.

He said: "I don't know if there's any truth to the rumours. But if they've got any sense they'll all be looking at him."
