Crewe Alexandra's pursuit of Forest Green Rovers' prolific forward Stuart Fleetwood looks set for a successful conclusion after the Blue Square Premier side accepted a bid for the 21-year-old.
The former Cardiff City and Hereford United forward has enjoyed a magnificent season for Jim Harvey's side, scoring 30 times on only 33 appearances for Rovers.
A statement on Alex's official website read: "Crewe have now been granted permission to speak to the Welsh Under-21 forward and any transfer will now be dependant on his acceptance of personal terms and completing a full medical.
"A further release will be issued when Crewe Alexandra FC and the player have met.
"In the meantime, no further comment will be made by either club until such discussion has been completed."
