Crewe Alexandra have completed the loan signing of Elliott Bennettand the Wolves teenager is looking forward to getting some first-team football under his belt at Gresty Road.

The 18-year-old, who has made two first-team starts for Mick McCarthy's side, earned his loan chance at Alex after impressing during a brief trial with the League One side.

"It's gone well for me and I'm delighted to have got a month's loan deal out of it, which was my aim," Bennett told Alex's official website.

"I want some more first-team experience and that's what Mick McCarthy said to me, so I'm delighted to sign for Crewe.

"I like to use my pace to go past players and get crosses into the box. I think my biggest asset is getting at defenders and making things happen.

"I'm looking to do that during my time at Crewe and maybe score a goal or two.

"I hope to be involved on Saturday and I'd love to score on my debut. I don't mind though as long as the team wins but it would be nice to score or be involved somewhere with a goal."
