Much-travelled Plymouth Argyle youngster Simon Walton has joined Crewe Alexandra on loan.
The 21-year-old midfielder started his career with Leeds United before securing a £500,000 move to Charlton Athletic in 2006.
He struggled to break into the Addicks first team though and was loaned out to Ipswich Town and Cardiff City before joining QPR for £200,000 two years ago.
Walton again failed to impress at Loftus Road and moved on to Hull City on loan before sealing another big-money switch to Home Park last summer.
However, he has featured in only 14 matches for the Pilgrims and was loaned out to Blackpool at the end of last term.
